Psychoeducation
An experiential experience that helps people and/or organizations go through the process of change. The focus is on social-emotional learning to help build emotional intelligence through growth, intrinsic motivation, a sense of mastery, autonomy, purpose, and positive continuous advancement.

After the initial visit, you will have some of the following recommendations
Option 1) Psychoeducational assessment and intervention plan:
To complete a psychoeducational assessment and intervention plan using evidence based tools
Duration 1-3 sessions
Two hours of report writing
Intervention plan
Summary of the hypothesis and recommendations to present to your family physician
Options 2) Family assessment and intervention plan:
To review the family structure, level of communication, belief system, functioning of family.
Option 3) Neuropsychological assessment
A recommendation will be made to see a neuropsychologist to complete a full assessmssment.
Option 4) Therapy- depending on the recommendations and intervention plan.
Initial visit
During the initial visit (assessment/screening session), we will discuss your concerns, goals, and any relevant background information.
You will be asked about your current symptoms, past experiences, or treatment you may have had for mental health concerns and medical history, family history, and any medications you are currently taking.
Standardized tests/screeners will be administered to determine your cognitive functioning, personality traits, family dynamics, and psychosocial and emotional state.
