After the initial visit, you will have some of the following recommendations

Option 1) Assessment and intervention:

  • To complete a psychoeducational assessment and intervention plan using evidence based tools

    • Duration 1-3 sessions

    • Two hours of report writing

  • Intervention

  • Summary of the hypothesis and recommendations to present to your family physician

Options 2) Family assessment and intervention plan:

  • To review the family structure, level of communication, belief system, functioning of family.

Option 3) Neuropsychological assessment

  • A recommendation will be made to see a neuropsychologist to complete a full assessmssment.

Initial visit

During the initial visit (assessment/screening session), we will discuss your concerns, goals, and any relevant background information.

You will be asked about your current symptoms, past experiences, or treatment you may have had for mental health concerns and medical history, family history, and any medications you are currently taking.

Standardized tests/screeners may be administered to determine your cognitive functioning, personality traits, family dynamics, and psychosocial and emotional state.
